Yes, there were females - they blended into the grass so I did not see them until too, when they flew off, so have no idea of numbers. I'm unsure regarding immature males.

Thanks LisaH for most of the time it is pretty hard to tell juveniles from females, but at some time the young males start to develop adult plumage so at times you can tell
