Barb we removed thousands of hawthorns, some quite old and large. The seed bank is still active and unfortunately hawthorn is one of the great suckerers - definitely a need to follow up.

the majority of blue balloons markers were hawthorns that I removed and gps-ed at the northwest slope - I estimate over the past years we removed around 5000 hawthorns mainly from the northwest slope.
