Suggestion: L. terrigena has robust, thick looking, yellow palps whereas A.inopina's palps are finer and darker coloured? To me this looks like neither, being very short in the body with black fine palps and yellow antennae longer than the body.
This does not seem to be either Lecithocera terriginea or Achoria inopa. It has a forewing light area that isn't present in those two species, and has shorter wings. But I haven't found those features in any other Lecithoceridae (although there are very many unstudied Lecithoceridae). Cath, you noted similarity with 4362811. Did it look shorter to the naked eye, ie is it possible that the short wings here are an artifact of the photo? If you see it again, can you catch one (I can supply phials)?
Thanks Glenn. I will keep an eye out for another one and try to catch it! This one was in an awkward position in the middle of a shrub and unfortunately I couldn't get a better view, but it looked so unusual I did the best I could. The wings definitely seemed shorter than the antennae, and looking at 4362811 again, I think the wings were probably shorter than those. I think the second image here, from above, gives a fairly good idea of the shape as I recollect it.
