I think this might be in the Araneus talipedatus group or Araneus circulissparsus group? Araneus cyrtarachnoides on ALA seems to have tan legs and head and is shown north of Brisbane.

Good call Bron, though to my eyes t doesn't seem to fit these two either. My loose suggestion was to get the ball rolling...might give it a go on the FB Australian Arachnids site, some astute experts there...tbc ! Bottom line, whatever it is, a very beautiful ord-weaver!

No worries Stuart, Adam knows his spiders - it's indeed a beautiful and very varied group. I've found individuals about 8 times over as many years and they're all so different to each other :).
