The plants seemed to have too much juvenile foliage for A. implexa and I thought the phyllodes were too long for either A. implexa or A. rubida (probably I am wrong). Photo 2 shows two clear veins rather the one for rubida and 3-5 for implexa.
Julie and Mike I am still pretty sure that this is Acacia implexa. I have watched young plants grow and they start of with bipinnate leaves and a thin long phyllode, the leaves drop and thephyllode thickens pretty early on - but happy to be proved wrong.
