A challenging photo, but the forewing subcostal and central pale streaks, and the white crescent moon mark, put me in mind of Proteuxoa epiplecta ?

Yes, could be, but the specimen isapparently very worn and the crescent mark is not well defined and should have two lines.

Yes, and this specimen has no central chestnut streak, and the pale circular spot in front of the crescent is too big, and the pale streak from the crescent to the margin, are all unlike the markings of P. epiplecta.
I think we must look elsewhere.

The moth has pectinate antennae, which brings Agrotis to mind and I think I can see the Agrotis munda pattern

OK, but simply 'Agrotis (genus)' might be safer still.
