Hi Betty, I only have the one photo but KenT has suggested Stackhousia monogyna which looks about right (only having the flower buds put me off)

Possibly. The leaves fit.
Neither Plantnet nor Vicflora mention any other colour for the flowers than white cream to deep yellow. However, one of the photos in PlantNET has some flower buds at the tops of flowering stems, which have a pinkish tinge. http://plantnet.rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/NSWfl.pl?page=nswfl&photo=27&file=5/182/004657.jpg

I think it is a bit early for these to be in full flower at that altitude. The location seems to be a long walk from anywhere, or perhaps I'm just feeling my age.

Thanks for the ID help. The Leura Gap fire trail is a long walk from anywhere but I'm lucky enough to get there from time to time with a work vehicle :-)
