Fredrick thanks for your posting. Canberra Nature Map is not set up to ID garden or street plantings such as this. Nevertheless we do welcome sightings of Manchurian pear where it appears to have spread beyond plantings - it is a species that we have some concerns about as a future weed risk. Good on the cockatoos that do a great job of destroying it seeds. Another commonly planted ornamental pear is Pyrus calleyana - it tends to have smaller fruit and a more upright form than the Manchurian pear. I am 95% sure your photo is of Manchurian pear but can't entirely dismiss it being P. calleyana.
