Very excited to see this skink in the botanic gardens- new for this location and the 13th report on nature map. Suspect it came in with materials imported into gardens.

Yes - great photo - thanks for submitting it. The ANBG is another new location in Canberra for this little import. One way this species gets to Canberra is with firewood (e.g. they have been found sheltering in cracks in logs brought in for firewood at Aranda) another way is, as you suggest, in horticultural supplies including potted tree ferns, mulch etc. WillO.
