User's notes

Very difficult to see when flat against the tree, and it kept moving sideways around the tree trunk as I tried to get near it to take a photo.

This specimen seems to be immature, not easy to ID to species, so I suggest Ledrinae sp. (subfamily).

It looks quite similar to my sighting:

This individual was found on Brittle Gum (E. mannifera).

Leafhoppers are very difficult to ID by appearance. From these photos, the flattened, elongated shape makes it more likely to fit in the Ledrinae sp. (subfamily) as Michael suggests. To be able to make a better ID we would need much greater details of the legs and head, which can be really hard to do as they move so quickly and are often quite small. I think we all know how frustrating it is to get clear photos!
