Probably. Though like a lot of other shrubs this year, flowering late.I would expect that Acacia implexa would not have buds as mature as this. The new Wattle app states that melanoxylon has rectangular nerve islands in the leaves, and usually hairless branchlets, while implexa has more elongated nerve islands in the leaves, and branchlets with a waxy bloom that can be rubbed off.
