the markings and colour match other examples on CNM for Hooded Robins, they are not brown like the female Flame Robins. Can you please review this identification. Thanks.

Not sure whether it is a Hooded but I agree colouration is quite odd (particularly in the second photo showing a distinct line between paler breasts/ darker head). We will review this sighting.

Thanks it was a cloudy morning and the colours were duller than normal not clear and crisp. Sure makes a difference when the sun is out especially on black or dark coloured birds.

While I'm personally undecided (leaning towards Hooded?) I think the wider consensus remains Flame, so in the absence of a more authoritative opinion I will leave this as is for now.
