The Spiranthes found in the ACT is considered to be S. alticola, although difficult to distinguish from S. australis.

Michael, you were too quick for me! Duplicate, and sometimes triplicate, postings are a problem on the site. I removed the duplicate almost immediately. Tony, Meredith Cosgrove gives the ACT species as S, australis, with S. alticola as a synonym. Is it now generally accepted as S. alticola?

John, Spiranthes alticola is the name recognised in the 2017 Census of ACT Plants, described by David Jones at the time the ACT Field Guide was released. S. australis is a separate species not found in the ACT.
