I am suggesting this speciment may be E. excursaria rather than E. bispinaria based on the following diagnostic reasons using criteria from the supporting CD to Moths Victoria Part 7 entitled Éctropis species', because::- 1. The main black forewing line has a strong kink (applies to both species); 2. In E. bispinaria the main black hindwing line has a dip in it and is marked with spots; whereas 3. In E. excursaria the main black hindwing iline is plain without spots) and sloping with a 'step'' at the (outer) end. Both the males of the two species have antennae with fine pectinations, short in bispinaria and long in excursaria - but that difference is not much use in this case.
