User's notes

Shrub growing on exposed hill top near Boboyan Trig (Yerrabi Walking Track) at 1450m altitude. Approx. 2m tall, small white flowers, flaky bark, some sort of tea-tree, hopefully enough photos to identify species.

I hit the wring name by mistake the first time. Kunzea ericoides is now regarded as only growing in New Zealand. Until someone does a revision of the species in NSW, we are stuck with this name. This plant is very different from Kunzea ericoides growing at lower altitudes, and almost certainly a different species. Someone with a collecting permit could take a specimen into the Australian National Herbarium.

Thanks for the comment. Yes, it seemed like a different plant to the Kunzea ericoides that I'm familiar with in the lowland woodlands here in Canberra.
