Size - length 8mm; moves very fast; this species comes into the house regularly at this time of the year; Conder, ACT.

I would be loathe to take this further than family Ectobiidae, as it looks like an immature. I fully grown one might be easier.

Is there a chance this could be Robshelfordia simplex as recently spotted in Sherwood Forest? The patterning looks right and the Cercus look like they are pointing upward which I believe is a trait of the species.
There are a few others placed in Ectobiidae sp. (family) which I also think might be Robshelfordia simplex. Rentz Guide to Cockroaches of Australia does place a population of this species in eastern Australia despite the name of Shelfords Western Cockroach.
