Hawthorn and Briar rose are the main woody weeds in the reserve between Fed Hw and Oldfield lane.
There were huge mature hawthorn trees in Valour park which were most likely the parents of the many hawthorns that we already removed from the nature reserve east of Antill street. During recent monitoring I found quite a bit of regrowth - hopefully to be dealt with at a working party.
I should train you to become a woody weed worrier ...
