Mike this does look like the ridge on the leaf stem continues onto the stem of the plant - I hope i have interpreted Betty's iD tip correctly and this is Acacia decurrens
The branchlets definitely look winged, and I cannot see any small glands between on the leaf rachis between the pinnae as well as glands near the base of the pinnae. Hard to tell from the photo whether the leaves are decurrent on the branchlets or there is a definite join at the base. I am inclined to Acacia decurrens, but await what you think after you have seen the herbarium specimens.
