New colony. Very healthy. Are they about to bud, or have they finished flowering?

I suspect C. hispida (its a bit early for C. incurva) and havn't flowered and probably won't because of the dry autumn. Its the same situation with the colony on Black Mountain.

Image 2 looks like a bud that got started, but then died off. This would further suggest C. hispida.

One of the colonies had these signs in approximately 40% of the plants. All but one of the colonies showed these signs too. I hope they flower next year.
