Two monstrous African olives, the parents of many olives in the nature reserve. There will be no off spring from these after the Friends of Mt Majura work party on Sunday 17 April 2016. Thanks to PCS rangers for chainsaw support and carting a truck and large trailer load of debris away. The map shows gps records of woody weeds treated in the Mt Majura nature reserve east of Mackenzie Street in the autumns of 2014 (white) 2015 (green) and up to date 2016 (yellow). Most of the records uphill/east of the transmission line are African olives. Note: volunteers of the Friends of Mt Majura parkcare group removed woody weeds in that area since 2004, particularly Cootamundra wattles and firethorns.
