I believe this is sighting # 7000 for Canberra Nature Map! A new milestone for the community. As a side note, we have a new leader on the top nature mappers leaderboard on the home page with approximately 1.2K sightings. Congratulations Michael B for all your hard work and to everyone else who has contributed to the milestone of 7000 sightings. 10,000 sightings here we come.........

I also just want to reiterate how important this work is. These are now 7000 new sightings that the government did not previously know about, but now have direct visibility of which will now help influence development decisions and protect highly sensitive areas. Not to mention the educational awareness benefits and how much we are all learning from each other's knowledge.
