Christmas beetles (Anoplognathus genus). In Tasmania the beetle species Lamprima aurata (known as the Golden Stag Beetle on the mainland) is known as the "Christmas Beetle" - It's a Christmas beetle...or is it? By Dr Simon Grove

- Pored or somewhat maze-like on underside [bracket polypores]
