Survey conducted between 10:10am and 11:05am. Most of the insects were on flowering leptospermum. Almost nothing (no bees at all) on the few remaining flowers on the actual grassland. The 21 photographed sightings are at https://canberra.naturemapr.org/collections/sightings/11921 and include Bees - 8; Wasps - 3; Beetles - 3; Butterflies - 1; thrips -1; beefly -1; flies - 3; true bug - 1. The 4 unphotographed bees refer to solitary bees; the 3 unphotographed wasps all looked different, I'm not sure about the flies.
