User's notes

A bit of rain fell last few days. Vegetation quite tall. Dragonflies. Saw frog spawn under vegetation in shallow part near settling pond, 4 eastern long-necked turtles, 1 large carp. Heaps of rubbish around the site as usual (we collected it). The size of the site is actually about 200 sq m (I think I've been entering 500 sq m, sorry!). Now that I'm familiar with the site, I can confirm that the frogs only use the top half of the creek that flows into the lake.; Size: 200 m; Aquatic Veg: Filamentous algae is shallow area near settling pond; Bank Veg: Tall juncus, tall grass, casuarina saplings (includes veg on islands in water); Overhead Canopy: Minimal; Landscape: Urban open space;
