Eurhopalus sp. (genus) (Dermestid beetle)

Members of the family Dermestidae are commonly called 'Carpet beetles', but only a few actually attack carpets. Adults of Australian species are found on flowers and under bark on tree trunks, among other places.

The native Australian species formerly placed in Trogoderma are now referred to Eurhopalus.
