Desert ash is listed in Field Maps so you can report it. Does anyone look at comments to find other species? They wouldn't be rolled up into statistics.

I was puzzled about FM record because I never saw a Privet but heaps of young Desert Ash along with English Elm, firethorn, Sweet Briar, hawthorn, Blue gums... in and around the gully that runs parallel to Valour park. I worked 5 days with the Green Army, a couple of days with the jail gang, a couple of days with Jochen to remove the initial lot in the lower part of the gully. It was meter by meter hard work through the thickets and down the gully slopes ... dangerous too, because of all the barbed wire around the gully half buried and not visible; there are still concrete posts which we couldn't remove ... Also a lot of building rubble including bonded asbestos buried on the gully floor. it wasn't the nicest place to work. I did a lot of follow ups in the years following the initial massacre particularly on the suckering Elm. Of course, there should be a regular checks and follow-ups, perhaps every 2 years, to get the young plants spreading from Valour park. It should be a picnic compared to the initial work :-)
