User's notes

Walking up the path to Jahli’s Lookout with the sun in our eyes, two of us were close to the top when we looked down and were just two steps away from a pair of intertwined brown snakes. There wasn’t enough time to see if they were sparring males or a mating pair as they immediately came apart and took off into an adjacent hole between the stone steps. Shortly after, one of the snakes emerged from the hole in what appeared to be a very agitated state. It raised its head up off the ground to look around in all directions and then started searching the area around the hole at some speed and in ever-increasing circuits. We stood perfectly still whilst the snake did four circuits around the hole and then with the snake some distance from us, we left the area.
