Ist record of this plant being naturalised in our region and one of a few recorded occurrences of this widespread northern hemisphere weed in Australia

User's notes

I haven't seen this one before. Leaning toward Hesperis pycnotricha.

Harley - I haven't been able to find a flora that has both pycnotricha and matronalis in it. I have gone matronolis as it is already naturalised in Australia with what seems to be a well established population in the Jenolan Caves area and this specimen seems a good fit on leaf and flower characteristics. Happy to be convinced otherwise. H. matronalis is a widespread weed in North America and well and truely woth eradicating this Hesperis infestation.

Thanks Michael. I am going to try to get back out to collect a sample for the herbarium.
