Hi Tapirlord, thanks for your suggestion. I thought the leaf looked deeply channelled and thin compared to that of a typical T. arenaria, hence my initial suggestion of it being more like T. pauciflora. The flower was quite small as well. I think the flower would've finished by now so I don't think I can get more images of it this season.

Deeply channeled does sound like T.pauciflora good to know. It's a bit difficult to see from my end. What gave me pause for thought here are the column arms which are bent pretty sharply upwards and are closer in than i'd expect for T.pauciflora. Having said that, i'm happy with your suggestion on leaf details.

Thanks for having another look at the photos again Tapirlord. I understand Thelymitra is difficult to ID, particularly with the high degree of hybridisation that happens between species in this genus. I'll try and take more photos from different angles next time, next season.
