This bee seemed to eating the nectar or regurgitating it.

Bees often consume nectar that is more dilute than they need for optimal energy production. They hold it in their crops and only pass it to the stomach when they need energy. This gives them the opportunity them to regurgitate nectar from the crop to increase the concentration by evaporation, making it closer to the optimal value.
