From what I can find, Nidula emodensis should have a conspicuously hairy outer surface to the cup. The pictures don't show whether the egg-like capsules (peridioles) are attached by a thread or not. I can't see any ejected capsules that might show the feature. This species (N e ) should not have a thread. If Qld species are any guide, then Cyathus olla is an interesting species to look at: https://qldfungi.org.au/fungi-id/fungi-keys/fungi-keys-queenslands-birds-nest-fungi. I'm not an expert in these fungi, but have a longtime interest. I have found them on the southern edge of Forest 33 (Giant sequoias) at National Arboretum Canberra, and in my back garden.
