I believe this is Telala musiva, of which a specimen from Piccadilly Circus ACT is figured on Plate 16 of Zimmerman's 'Australian weevils Vol. V'. As you say, Dianne, it also resembles Zimmerman's Tasmanian "Telala new species 3" figured in Vol. VI. But I can't agree that they are separate species, especially when T. musiva was originally found in Tasmania. The markings in Zimmerman's 4 images are all in the same places (allowing for individual variation), and the reddish colour of the "new species" may be a printing artefact.
