This is an area where FoMM worked for years starting with basically weeds only: slender, variegated, spear & scotch thistle, horehound, Paterson's Curse , Buchan Weed, Ribwort Plantain and lots and lots of cleavers; also Sweet Briars and hawthorns. Following many weeding sessions and removing dozens of trash-bags with weeds we direct-seeded weeping grass, striped wallaby grass and native geranium. This is a large drainage line with a neglected dam just about 100 m uphill to the north east which is infested with Umbrella sedge. Umbrella sedge is spreading from the dam and spill way and is my biggest concern since it is difficult to control among native grasses, sedges and rushes.
