Is it rare and endangered elsewhere?

It is probabaly best described as regionally uncommon

Ah. Interesting because as far as I know it isn't listed in NSW as rare and endangered. Also a totally unobtrusive plant (IMO) so may not be noticed as much. I have only seen it mixed in with other smallish shrubs (Melichrys urceolata for eg) rather than in with the grasses so it may also be edible for the larger herbivores.
