This is the first time I've seen gang gangs exhibiting nesting behaviour around hollows up here. There are many, many hollow-bearing trees around, and I always wondered if I'd ever see any gang gangs using them . . . The male was chewing, sitting and softly talking to his mate, then flew to the branch above where they groomed. They then flew to the hollow in the next sighting. I think it's too late for them to nest - but I'll keep a lookout next year. I've gathered two feathers from below the hollow - is the feather project still happening? There were three hollows actively visited during this observation period (around half an hour or more)

Thanks feathers still wanted particularly from outside the Canberra area. You are probably right about it being too late - but perhaps not we have had some late events.
