Mmmmm, that strikes me as a very odd ID. This plant is high up in the ranges where I rarely find hardy exotics like spear thistle or catear's let alone lawn weeds such as Gamochaeta. But also, these plants are clearly rosetted where as Gamochaeta calviceps is not, do not posess a paniculate infloresence whereas Gamochaeta does, and the flowers are either singular or paired, never clustered.
