Thanks Alison - good tip. After a quick scan of those kinds of moths it looks a lot like CNM sighting 4402237 (also attached to Bulbine bulbosa) and 4400226 (attached to a yellow Diuris orchid.

Hi Warren, I think it would fall into the category of Hyalarcta huebneri - Leafy Case Moth

But Heliocosma larvae cases look like that too, though this would be their maximum size. Need to take it into protective custody, and rear it to see if it grows bigger, and indeed whatever: see what the adult moth is like. Alternatively get a photo of the head and thorax of the larva when feeding. The patterns on the head and thorax are easily distinguished between Psychidae and Heliocosma. Or cut the case open carefully with nail scissors to photograph the larva.
