These guys were actually in the middle of the trail. Watched for awhile then walked past they slithered off. Half an hour to an hour later returned on the same trail and they were back on the trail at the same spot and at it again. They looked to beautiful and healthy.

First time this behaviour has been recorded in the act for D. psamophis. It’s a great record, and a significant one at that. The 5th sighting of this species locally, first confirmed here in 2018. This represents their south eastern most record in the state.
