Unable to identify these, as the birds didn't exactly match any local species of thornbill. Possibly immatures or juveniles.

Thanks @MatthewFrawley - Come to think of it they probably were just brown thornbills. They just seemed a bit too large and a warmer shade of brown, but that might have been the angle and lighting.
