If it is as big as I suspect without much to go from (2 cm x 12 cm), this is not a typical scat for any species I can think of. From the photo, it appears to contain a lot of plant material, possibly grass, and no fur or bone chips are visible. So unlikely to be from a fox or wild dog. I am thinking aberrant human scat OR aberrant pig scat OR perhaps aberrant pet dog that has eaten a lot of grass.
Sorry I didn't add a comparison size! I ve uploaded a pic of a marker that is roughly the same. I'd say 10 cm long. Hardish, dryish, not recent dropping. Found in an area of low grass and near marsh. Also saw rabbit scats and what I thought were feral pig scats. I can go back and take more pics. It is very close to an area of feral pig rippings.
Ok Jac, then I guess most likely pig but it is very different to a typical pig scat. I'm not able to confirm it as that though, sorry. Maybe one of the other moderators will recognise it. @Will Osborne @Chris Malam @John Wombey @Belinda Wilson @Liam.m
