User's notes

Seen directly below the lookout, only managed to photograph one (could have been more out of view), but the other was similar colouring, with distinctive pale tail. I do hope these guys are safe from the kangaroo cull!

Hi Christine, so far since they began in 2008, ACT conservation culls have been limited to about ten or a dozen reserves in Canberra Nature Park (of 40 CNP reserves) that contain the threatened woodland or grassland ecosystems, and the military areas, and also have been limited to Eastern Grey Kangaroos. Rural culling is done by graziers not far from this location but again is limited (so far in the ACT) to the EGKs. In surrounding NSW, licences are issued for all four of the locally common macropod species (including Wallaroos) and in the case of EGKs and Wallaroos, there are commercial licences also.
