Very Active dark coloured skink with distinct white blotches, around 30 long total, accidentally disturbed when clearing away stored FOMM tools. I have not seen this species at this location before.
Cunningham's Skink ? ID.
I also want to edit my ORIGINAL comment above to REMOVE it from the Public comments trail... Also can NOT do this ? Please assist CNM Administrators, NOT very satisfactory that I can NOT edit my own sighting notes ?
Why do you want to hide the location? To my knowledge it is not a threatened species and has been found on Mount Majura before. However, you can supress a location if you want. Just open the sighting, select Edit and under the map there is a checkbox that says Supress the location of this sighting from public view.
Good Eve, Ms Alison, Thanks for your Feedback. Unfortunately I have had information passed onto me recently about Possible Poaching activity in the Mt Majura Nature Park. I have already Tried to edit my settings to Suppress the Location, but the CNM App / Website will NOT let me ? Perhaps you can do this on my behalf.? Regards.
Hi Max, I'm not a Moderator for skinks so can't do this. If you have access to a computer rather than using the phone app you should be able to do this yourself.
I suppressed the location. I confirm that poaching occurred in the Mt Majura nature reserve and was reported to the Police. This was years ago but we are super-careful to reveal locations of territorial animals such as Cs, particularly when the location has been targeted for stealing items repeatedly and as recently as about a month ago. Otherwise, I wouldn't suggest suppressing the location.
I can only suppress the Location when First recording a sighting. Subsequently I can NOT edit the Location myself, nor the Original Comment for the sighting, which I request to be moved to the Non Publically visible stream please. Thanks so much 🤗
