Surprised me as well. I do know there was an old arboretum down this way, plus disturbance from the power lines. So in the end I figured there was enough likelihood of disturbance to warrant a weedy occurrence

Yep - Fires have destroyed a lot of the Namadgi arboretums but there was once at least 20 of them dotted about as trials for what timber species could be grown.
