Disjunct occurrence of this peacock spider known from northern NSW. Possibly brought in with plant or soil material but also possible that its true distribution is yet to be recorded.

Looks very much like Maratus watagansi - but is a big disjunction from other known locations - @Harrisi @woyapp what do you think?

Bizarre occurrence though exciting prospect of breeding as pairs were observed. Definitely vagrant via soil,litter or plant material; not the first time this has happened at ANBG. Excellent that Amie n Su realised this comparatively 'bland' peacock spider....
