This was the first family of superbs I noticed on my walk, with loud begging alerting me to the fledglings. (I will upload a recording). I found two other families an hour later, but do not know if one of the later sightings were this family that had moved up the track. The young were unsteady in their movements, almost falling at one stage, and having to continually balance themselves (photo 4). I'm wondering if this indicates newly fledged birds? This is the first time this season I've heard young superbs. After feeding, the male, then female, flew down to the ground - I assume to feed. The young stayed quietly on their branches.
