Worth making the distinction between albicans and tricolor.

How do you tell the difference?

Colour of the flower bracts, white in tricolor and yellow in albicans.

Is it that simple? A number of sources around the place say that albicans can have white bracts. It’s pretty confusing… anyway, I will ID this way from now on and happy to have found the ‘rare’ one!

Not so simple; can have white and yellow on same plant.

To quote https://apps.lucidcentral.org/plants_se_nsw/text/entities/leucochrysum_albicans.htm
"The two subspecies intergrade. Subspecies of Leucochrysum albicans are not recognised in the ACT."

I believe that is correct yes, the census doesn't include the subsp anyways. However, we as CNM incorporate a signifcant amount of NSW so it is important to maintain the distinction.
