Unsure what this behaviour is. I don't believe this is mating, as I understand mites don't mate this way. The smaller mite appears to be an adult and not juvenile (based on the number of legs). Maybe one of CNM's experts can clarify this. Sighted on the side of a tree at ANBG, with the larger mite very active. Thanks to Marcus for help with the sighting.
