Hard to say which species it is, need to have the specimen at hand and check it out under my stereo microscope. Even then an ID to species might not be possible as the genus is in need of a modern revision, which has to date only partly been done, by Dr Brian Levey of Wales in the U.K., who has been working on the revision for the past 40 years or so. Not easy! Stuart's suggested ID as to it being Melobasis obscurella may well be correct but need the specimen to hand to confirm, or deposit it in the Australian National Insect Collection, part of the CSIRO, located at Black Mountain, Canberra.
