Significant sighting

MichaelMulvaney noted:

19 Apr 2022

Relatively large number of thisthreatened woodland bird. This area and the nearby West Hume woodland is an important link between Mt Wanniassa/Farrer Ridge/Callum Brae to the west and woodland in the Tralee/Googong/Wandayli area

User's notes

Very conservative count, there are pics of groups of 9 at a time in a tree, when a noise scared them, they took off and more birds in that area joined in and a flock of at least 20 flew overhead. At the same time nearby another group was being observed, so there would have easily been more than 25.

A significant count of this threatened species, especially in an area where development is encroaching.
