A good record. Cryptoblepharus species (snake-eyed skinks) can be hard to identify from a photograph. Your good clear photo showing the sides and back of this individual makes it easier to identify as C. pulcher (Elegant Snake-eyed Skink). This is near the south-eastern most extent of the range of the species in NSW. The name "snake-eyed" is because the lizards do not have moveable eyelids - the lower eyelid does not move and is covered by a transparent disc. The upper eyelid consists of just a few small scales. This gives them a snake like eye.
